The collection, Roses & Ruby Rainbows, is inspired by my deep appreciation for my mother, Corry, and the beauty and splendour of a rose she reminds me of. Its magnificent shapes & colours, its intense fragrance and its velvety texture always leave me in awe. Bright red colours symbolises inner strength, courage and emotion. In Southern African societies the colour is associated with royalty. Indlovukazi is the Zulu translation for Queen. In the East African Maasai community red signifies the colour of the blood of the cow that is slaughtered when people come together for celebrations.
