The Iridescence collection – a lustrous play of colours is inspired by the joyous energy reflected in the intensity of a kaleidoscope. I am grateful to experience life in colour and in abundance. In traditional African societies the social status of individuals can be determined through the beadwork they wear. Different patterns, designs and colours indicate a person’s age, gender, marital status and social hierarchy. Umama Kamakoti is Zulu for the Mother of the Bride.
